Exu was born in Grace in Vancouver , B.C., Canada. At age 5, his family moved to Victoria,Vancouver Island near the gorge. They lived there for a while then we moved to Toronto St. in a house that was between an old abandoned satanist house and a crazy perverted christian family. When Exu was In grade 1 his parents split up and they moved to Shawnigan Lake. By grade 2 they had moved again to an old haunted house at the top of Cobble Hill. Exu and his family lived there until grade 4 where Exu met his best friend Nick Ford. By grade 5 Exu was commuting to school from Cobble Hill to Ladysmith, where his stepfather was busy clearing land to move a house from Victoria. At this time the family was living in tents for the first six months or so while the house was being moved and fixed up. This land has come to be christened 'The Property' by our family members, as it turned out to be a most unlucky place to live, verified according to records that indicated it was basically a warground before the town. Well all the supernatural events were brought to light by these records. In grade 5 Exu saw a talking crow at school and wanted one. In Grade 6 Exu built a full scale working model of a guillotine from scratch, complete with cardboard/tinfoil blade, as part of a job fair day at school. Exu spent alot of time alone in the woods with the animals, collecting bones, and exploring the mountainside. Alienated by most of his small town schoolmates, it got worse when high school arrived. High school years besides the usual hormonal changes, family drama, and 'Shining meets Poltergeist' homefront, Exu had to deal with the usual assortment of bullies and their parents, disturbed by his appearance, even though he was totally straight-edge, despite his decidedly offbeat and unusual attire and aversion to sports. The teachers, small town police, and social workers all felt it their duty to interfere with his personal life, whether it was warranted or not, let alone legal or moral. For that Exu says "I'll never go back!" and " Thanks for making a hard life, even harder." HOME |
